Samsung the leading phone company in the whole world followed by Huawei has come up with something that never existed in phone cameras. From their announcement in their official website, it comprises of two new 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel image sensors – the 64-megapixel (Mp) Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 and 48Mp ISOCELL Bright GM2. The GW1 will be able to produce 16-megapixel images by combining four pixels as one and their latest sensor will have the capacity to restore the color filter for full-resolution 64-megapixel shots.
This development concerning the 48MP is not something new since other phone manufacturers like Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Nokia, and Xiaomi has all presented the same thing. But their 64Mega Pixel will be in mass production by the second part of the year and we won’t be surprised to see other companies follow suit.
